This is a dark, folklore-based mafia romance set in Romania, centered around a woman who carries a curse tied to an old bloodline that doesn’t fade or die out.
Roma Basarab isn’t just part of the underworld—she’s one of the people who controls it. She was raised in violence, power, and ritual, and she knows exactly what she is. There’s no innocence here, no “figuring it out.” She’s already fully formed, fully aware, and not interested in being handled or softened.
Miloš and Zavi come from the same kind of world, but they were built to operate around power like hers, not against it. They’re brutal, controlled, and used to getting what they want without resistance. They don’t do relationships, and they definitely don’t do anything that looks like vulnerability.
This isn’t a love story in the traditional sense. It’s control, denial, possession, and obsession building between people who should not want each other, but do anyway. No one is chasing softness. No one is trying to be good.
It’s about power shifting, lines getting crossed, and what happens when three people who are all used to being in control start losing it in different ways.
There’s organized crime, old folklore, ritual elements, and a lot of morally questionable decisions. The dynamics are messy, intentional, and not meant to be clean or redeemable.
Definitely not a soft romance.
