Torn Between Two Lovers: Ministry vs Family

God has as impacted us that we might impact the next generation and we love it. However, sometimes we might have a difficult time balancing family and ministry. It’s so easy to become over-committed and under-connected, when there is a lack of presence and priorities, relationships with God, spouses, and children suffer. This is a dangerous place to be. When you feel weak and forget, when you grow tired and when you are tempted to despair, it is the grace of Christ that comes through for
you and me, our family, and our calling. Ministry life will call you out into the realm where you do not have the faith and strength to match the task. This is God’s faithfulness to keep us with him, needing him, looking to him. When you want to quit, push your spirit before Jesus. When your heart wants to blame, pout, and give up, go to Christ. And when you fail, return to the cross and boast in Christ. Because it is he who picks up our broken-down jars of clay and pours out his glory for his Name-sake.
Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you how to balance Ministry and Family. Don't spend too much time with one, and neglecting the other. It pleases God that the balance represents Him and the work
